We are lucky enough in Bath to be surrounded by amazing things to see and do. So if you’re looking to extend your visit when you come to Bath Races, here are some suggestions of which sights to take in around the historical city of Bath.
Thermae Bath Spa is not a site to be missed, with over 2000 years of history. You can enjoy a spa day with all of the modern perks (such as their open air rooftop pool, spa treatments and wellness suites), but at a unique venue offering the only natural hot spa in the UK.
Roman Baths
This 2000 year old historical site is possibly one of the most well known religious spas of the ancient world, and draws big crowds every year. Take a tour around the features, drink from the spa water fountain and learn a little more about Baths heritage.
No.1 Royal Crescent
No.1 Royal Crescent is now a museum which has been set up as it may have looked back in the 1700’s, to give a glimpse into what life was like for historical Bath residents. This picturesque street has been party preserved from development and is wonderful to walk around.
Southgate Shopping
With over 50 shops, 10 restaurants, and a number of homes, as well as a large underground car park, this centre offers a mix of top brands and high street, and makes for an enjoyable day of retail therapy.
