Light Up Lansdown, one of the biggest and best bonfire night events, returns to Bath Racecourse for another fantastic fireworks display.
The family Guy Fawkes Night event will see a spectacular firework display over the Bath countryside surrounding the racecourse, as well as another huge bonfire, fun fair rides and children’s entertainment.
Since the first Light Up Lansdown fireworks display in 2016 the event has grown in popularity, with 2018 set to be the biggest and best of all with an even bigger fireworks display planned than in previous years.
“As in previous years we have planned to have a huge amount of family entertainment on the night, which will build excitement ahead of the lighting of another big bonfire and amazing fireworks.” Bath Racecourse Sales and Marketing Manager, Maddie Difazio-Wright explained.
“We work with one of the best fireworks companies in the country, who due to an unexpected mishap last year have additional fireworks ready for use at Bath show this year.
“The event has been a huge success with the local residents of Bath and we’re excited to continue working to make it bigger and better than ever. We’re also thrilled to have Great Western Air Ambulance on board as our principal event sponsor and chosen charity for the evening.”
Emma Carter, Head of Fundraising and Marketing at Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We are very excited to be a part of this year’s Light up Lansdown event at the Bath Racecourse. The support that Bath Racecourse has shown GWAAC has been exceptional, and we cannot wait for the event on Friday 2nd November. We really hope that the public come along and enjoy the event, and come and talk to us about how we support the local community in Bath. Our charity covers Bath among other regions of the South West and we are really excited about the opportunity to meet the local community, show you what we do, and answer your questions.
“In 2017, the GWAAC Critical Care Doctors and Specialist Paramedics in Critical Care attended 97 incidents in Bath and North East Somerset, and we are here to stay, continuing to save lives in Bath and help those most in need in the event of traumatic incidents.”
