The Complete Stone Roses, the UK's most well-known, most seen and most authentic Stone Roses tribute band have been added to the line-up of live music taking place at Bath Racecourse on Friday 1 June.
The Complete Stone Roses join already announced Definitely Oasis for an entertaining evening of Britpop favourites performed live after racing. The bands are two of the best sounding and most talked about tribute bands for Oasis and The Stone Roses.
Music will start between the last few races, before both bands performing live on stage immediately following the evening’s racing. This tribute band bonanza comes about as part of the racecourse’s commitment to an increase in live entertainment at racedays across the season in its Lansdown Live series. In addition to the tribute acts, there is likely to be performances from local up and coming acts who have the opportunity to perform as part of Lansdown Live.
Acting Executive Director, Russell Smith said; “We had a superb reaction to the launch of Definitely Oasis with lots of tickets already sold for the evening. We’re committed to bringing more top quality entertainment to the racecourse and were so happy when we received the call to say that The Complete Stone Roses were also available for this race night in June.
“I’ve listened to both bands and think the sound the create is exceptional. Our guests on the night are in for a real treat!”
Complete Stone Roses Guitarist, Andy Connor added; “We’re really looking forward to performing in Bath. We’re celebrating 20 years of ‘The Completes’ this year and are always pleased to get the call from new and interesting venues to perform at.
“Definitely Oasis are producing a great sound too and between the two bands we’re sure to put on a brilliant show.”
The Complete Stone Roses have been performing as a band since 1998 playing at venues up and down the country including a recent sell-out crowd at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom, festivals such as T In The Park and the Isle of White Festival, as well as making a number of TV performances.
Tickets are available to see The Complete Stone Roses alongside Definitely Oasis on Friday 1 June. Hospitality and Roof Garden tickets are selling fast, so early booking is advised.
