Bath Racecourse is thrilled to announce a brand-new collaboration with Thatchers Cider for this year’s highly anticipated Cider Racenight, marking a significant milestone in the event's history. This partnership adds even more excitement to an event that has been a beloved tradition in Bath for over a decade, offering a thrilling flat racing and vibrant entertainment by the legendary Somerset band, The Wurzels.
This year’s Cider Racenight, on Saturday 17th August, promises to be a spectacular day for both racing enthusiasts and cider lovers alike. Thatchers will bring their renowned VAT12 tasting truck, where attendees can enjoy a range of the brand’s best-selling ciders. The truck will be serving the classic Thatchers Gold, Thatchers Haze, and an array of fruit ciders, including the juicy and sweet Blood Orange, the bold and fruity Apple & Blackcurrant, and the zingy and refreshing Cloudy Lemon. All ciders will be available on draught throughout the day, ensuring that racegoers can enjoy a refreshing pint from the first race until the evening’s Wurzels concert.
Racegoers will have no trouble finding the Thatchers truck, with its iconic bright yellow flags flying high. As an added bonus, the first 500 people to purchase a pint of Thatchers cider will receive a coveted Thatchers festival bucket hat, with additional giveaways planned throughout the day.
"The Cider Racenight looks set to be a brilliant event with the best of Somerset coming together; from the races to The Wurzels – so it makes perfect sense that attendees should be able to enjoy Somerset’s leading cider too,” said Martin Thatcher, Managing Director and forth generation cider maker at Thatchers Cider. “We’re excited to bring our ever-popular VAT 12 bar, pouring our best-selling ciders for racegoers to enjoy. There is nothing better than a day of sport and a night of music with a pint of Thatchers in hand.”
Simon Tonge, Executive Director at Bath Racecourse, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying, "We are thrilled to welcome Thatchers to our Cider Racenight. This event is a key fixture in our calendar, and I’m overjoyed to see it continuously growing and developing. We’re really looking forward to what the future brings."
Charlie Campbell, Catering Operations Manager at Bath Racecourse, added, "We’re thrilled to be partnering with Thatchers for our Cider Racenight. I truly believe it will elevate the event, adding even more atmosphere and enjoyment to the day; our customers are in for a real treat. I’m incredibly excited about the possibilities this partnership opens up and look forward to working together on future projects."
A wide selection of other alcoholic and soft drinks will also be available to ensure every attendee can find something they love.
Bath Racecourse’s Cider Racenight promises to be an unforgettable experience, celebrating the best of Somerset’s racing, music, and cider culture.
