It’s now just ten weeks until the start of the flat racing season at Bath Racecourse, with a summer packed full of action getting underway on Good Friday, 19 April.
The popular Good Friday fixture is expected to be well attended this year, with Good Friday falling later in the spring than last year. Racegoers of all ages can expect a thrilling Easter day out, with a full fixture of racing, as well as entertainment for all the family, including a return of Mr Wilson’s Second Liners. There will be lots for families to look forward to, with a designated family area including pony rides, fun fair rides and more, all for free.
Live music will feature at the races throughout the year as the Lansdown Live music series returns for 2019, including headline music act, The Human League, who will play after racing on Saturday 14 September. Summer sounds of Bath will also include The Wurzels on Super Cider Saturday, 17 August, Definitely Oasis and Blurd on Friday 7 June and other acts yet to be announced.
In addition to Good Friday, the popular Bank Holiday Family Fun Raceday is back on Monday, 6 May with another Kids Takeover of Racing - an initiative that was recognised as a winner of an RCA Showcase Award in 2018.
The biggest day of the year, and one of the highlights of the Bath social calendar, Ladies’ Day takes place on Saturday 17 June.
Tickets for all 22 racing fixtures are on sale now with reduced ‘early-bird’ prices for a limited time only. Early-bird tickets for the Good Friday season opener are available for just £15 until midnight on Thursday 28 February. Various hospitality packages, as well as tickets for our luxury rooftop bar, The Roof Garden are also on sale. Premium packages for our feature days often sell quickly and so guests are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
Under 18s race for free at all 2019 fixtures, with the exception of Saturday 14 September.
