Ladies’ Day is one of the standout days on the Bath social calendar. And for 2018 the theme is ‘Picture Perfect’.

With the big day just two weeks away, excitement is building in the city. V V Rouleaux, the darling of interior designers and fashion houses, has set about a bespoke flower wall creation made from ribbons – a centrepiece that will be the backdrop for the perfect picture on race day. The haberdashery that embellishes Royal Weddings, style A-listers, and are regularly featured in the glossiest magazines, TV shows, and films will also be giving racegoers the opportunity to create a unique hat with 25% in their Ladies’ Day hat event taking place at their Bath store on George Street. And the trip up to Lansdown on race day will be more about fancy hats. Racegoers can expect live music, great food and drink and the illustrious best-dressed competition – a chance to be hailed as the best-dressed lady in Bath which was claimed by Bath resident Lindsay Miller in 2017.

Gates open at 11.30am with the first of seven races starting at 1.55pm. The last race is scheduled to get underway at 5.20pm.

New for 2018 Bath Racecourse will host a Ladies’ Twilight in addition to the traditional Ladies’ Day meeting. Taking place on Saturday 18 August the Ladies’ Twilight Evening will start from 2pm. The evening races will feature the Silk Series, an all-female jockey race. Racegoers will be able to dance the night away with a live DJ Set from Bristol’s Roni Size concluding the summer evening with a party atmosphere.
